As president of Scripps, Taylor & Associates, P.C., Barb offers over thirty years of experience in public and private accounting.

Prior to launching her own firm, she spent nine years with the "Big 4" firm of KPMG, providing tax and business planning, tax return preparation and accounting services for small to medium-sized businesses. She later worked for one of the 25 largest CPA firms in Denver, where she gained additional comprehensive experience in these areas. She has also served as controller for several start-up businesses.
In 1992, she started her own public accounting firm. Barb graduated cum laude from the University of Colorado and has completed graduate work at Denver University's Master of Taxation program. She strongly believes in giving back to her community, thus she is a member of the Evergreen Rotary Club and serves, or has served, on the board of directors of various not-for-profit organizations in Evergreen, including Mt. Evans Home Health Care and Hospice, Center for the Arts -Evergreen, Evergreen Country Day School and the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce. She also sings in the Evergreen Chorale. Barb is married and has 3 children.
